And as this year catches up with the presentation of cars, we could not gather all the newcomers to the market in one article. That's why we present you the second part of "The most awaited cars for 2022"
Nissan X-Trail
Nissan's largest SUV
The new Nissan X-Trail comes with innovative electrified ePower drive technology and is expected to be available in the summer of 2022. It is Nissan's largest SUV. The ePower system differs from the classic hybrid drivetrain in that it has a petrol engine, but is used to charge a battery, which in turn powers the electric motor connected to the front axle. Nissan confirms that there will definitely be four-wheel drive, and it will be possible to choose different modes according to the type of terrain and road conditions. The manufacturers say that the new fourth generation X-Trail has a compact size, but there will be an option for a version with third row seats and a total of 7 seats. The model will be developed more similar technology to the Qashqai SUV. The design is also closer to the latest Qashqai, offering narrower lights and angular lines that give a rougher look. The interior has been modernized to include updated safety and driver assistance systems.
BMW i5
BMW's first electric crossover
This year, the Bavarians will offer an all-electric crossover, which will not have alternative versions running on standard fuel. This BMW model has been developed for more than 5 years, as the company is betting on a big breakthrough in the technology of electric cars, which will increase the power of their batteries, but will also significantly reduce their price. Another reason for the long wait is the development of an autonomous driving system with which the model will be equipped. It will be made mainly of carbon and technologies relied on in the i3 hatchback and i8 coupe.
Peugeot 308
The best of Peugeot with a new look
Experts call the new Peugeot 308 "the best made by the French company in years." And maybe there's a reason. The 308 generation began to change 8 years ago, and the latest model coming in 2022 has been completely redesigned. This is Peugeot's first model with a completely changed grille logo. As people say, the new is the well-forgotten old. And the company adheres to this maxim, using the forgotten emblem of the 60's. The car is built on the familiar EMP2 platform, allowing both an internal combustion engine and electrified variants. There are two options for propulsion - 1.2 liters of turbo gasoline, with 110 or 130 hp. There is also an option for plug-in hybrid versions, with 180 and 225 hp, and at the end of this and the beginning of the next is expected a purely electric model.
This model is quite different from other cars of the brand. Wondering what? Even the lights themselves are different, the back has dark stripes, and the living rooms are reminiscent of lion's claws. The car is 11 cm longer and the station wagon version 30 cm long, both of which are available with a trunk with a volume of 608 liters. The interior also undergoes huge changes, which is visible in the quality of materials and workmanship. Higher versions are equipped with an impressive three-dimensional dashboard. Here, too, it is important to emphasize that it was made by Bulgarian engineers from Visteon in Sofia. Cup and phone holders are 3D printed. A huge touch screen defines the completely renewed technological vision in the cabin.
The main competitor to this impressive Peugeot model is not just anyone, but the Volkswagen Golf itself.
Toyota Aygo X
The car in symbiosis with the phone
Compact crossover is the latest offer from Toyota - Aygo X. The car is presented as the ideal city car and can choose from four two-tone exteriors. The flowers are inspired by the four spices - chili, cardamom, juniper and ginger. The cute compact car has the ability to fully digitally connect your phone via an application with the Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system. Through the application, customers receive various data and monitor the characteristics of the car, such as analysis and driving style, the level of available fuel, as well as tracking its location.
Aston Martin Valhalla
The inhuman supercar
Finally, we will present you something extraterrestrial, which we will hardly be able to see the native latitudes, but this does not prevent us from enjoying the brilliant performance. Aston Martin presents one of its super-powerful Valhalla cars. Of course, the model will be produced in a limited series of about 500 cars, and their deliveries will begin in 2023. Its characteristics are impressive. Valhalla is a hybrid that features a 4-liter V8 from AMG, aided by two electric motors to produce a total of 950 hp. When in electric mode, it is in a car with front-wheel drive, and in other cases the electric power is sent to the rear axle. Curiously, this supercar has no reverse speed, as the reverse movement is done by electric motors. Acceleration to 100 km / h happens in an impressive 2.5 seconds, thanks to the dual transmission. The maximum speed is 330 km / h.
Its tires are specially designed for the model, and the ceramic-ceramic brakes are not directly connected to the brake pedal, which is reminiscent of the models in Formula 1. Aston Martin engineers were tasked with reaching less than 1550 kg dry weight, which is another top achievement for hybrid car. The secret is in the extremely strong carbon structure used. By increasing the speed to 240 km / h, the active aerodynamics adds compression to 600 kg, which means that the more stable the car, the more stable it is. At the moment, Aston Martin keeps the interior of this extravagant model deeply hidden. And we can only imagine what inhuman extras this model will hide!
